JENNA DORIAN
Jenna is a queer Armenian fiction writer, screenwriter, and filmmaker living in Los Angeles. She wrote and directed her first short film DUST TO LIGHT in 2023 which screened at Oscar® Qualifying Festivals like Nashville Film Festival, St. Louis International Film Festival, LA Shorts International Film Festival, and other’s. She wrote and directed her second short WHAT IS GOING (co-created with Mamie Heldman) in 2025. She's currently in development on her debut feature, MEMORY IS A FISH — a finalist in the 2025 Santa Barbara International Screenplay Awards, quarterfinalist for Filmmatic Inroads Fellowship Season 8, and a Top 25 Feature Script Semifinalist in the JumpStart Writing Competition 2025. Jenna received her master’s in Creative Writing from Otis College of Art and Design where she served as an editor of Otis Books. She was a Los Angeles Review of Books/USC Publishing Workshop Fellow and a writer-in-residence at Rivendell Writers’ Colony. She self-published her first novella, You Holy Screaming Symphony, in 2016. Her writing has appeared in Pub Lab, an annual journal of the Los Angeles Review of Books, Hippocampus Magazine, and others.
